Palm Pointe’s School Counseling Department

The mission of Palm Pointe’s school counseling department is to provide a comprehensive program that fosters academic success, social-emotional development, and college-career readiness for all students. Our program is preventative in focus and is designed to enhance the learning process by assisting students in acquiring critical life skills that are needed for future success. It is student-centered and is open to all students, parents, and staff and is developed according to the American School Counselor Association’s (ASCA) National Model to ensure collaborative efforts benefiting our students, families, teachers, administrators, and the overall community.

Palm Pointe’s school counseling program is designed, implemented, and managed by professionally trained and certified school counselors who hold a master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling and are certified through the State of Florida. Our school counselors provide direct and indirect services that encompass: individual and small group counseling; classroom guidance lessons; Problem Solving Intervention Team meetings; new student orientation; and consultation and collaboration with parents, teachers, administrators, and community members.
